Your component library, inside the Etch builder.
EtchwpKits Companion is the WordPress plugin for EtchwpKits. Browse the library in a panel right in Etch, insert any section with one click, and every class arrives renamed to your site's prefix.
- WordPress 6.5+ and PHP 8.1+
- Connects in one click
- Updates itself, signed

Build in Etch. Never leave the canvas.
No more copying JSON between tabs. The library, your own saved blocks and every component's update history sit in one panel, next to the page you are building.
The whole library, one click from the canvas.
Open the EtchwpKits panel from the Etch tool rail, search or filter by category, and click Insert. The section lands at your selection, ready to edit.
- Every class is renamed to your site prefix on the way in.
- Undo with Cmd+Z. Nothing is saved until you save in Etch.
- Stars you set on etchwpkits.com show up in the panel too.

Know what is on every page, and when it has an update.
The panel keeps track of each component you insert into a page, with the version it came with. When a newer version is out, you see a badge and what changed.
- Review update shows every change layer by layer. Take the ones you want and keep the edits you made on your site.
- Prefer to compare first? Insert the new version as a copy next to the old one.
- Changed your mind? Cmd+Z brings the old copy back.
- Swap a component for another one and keep your headings, texts and buttons.

Save your own blocks. Reuse them on any site.
Select a block you built in Etch and save it to My Kits, in a folder. It is then one click away on every site you connect.
- Saved components keep their class names, or use Customize to rename them.
- Add your CSS snippets to the site in one click, and update or remove them later without touching the rest of your CSS.

The details that save you an afternoon.
- Naming convention
Your prefix on every class
Set a class prefix for the site once, such as your client's name. Every BEM block is renamed to it, so the code reads like your own work.
- Customize
Customize with a live preview
Rename each block and class before you insert, keep utility classes such as Automatic.css helpers as they are, and check the result at desktop and phone width.
- Clone
Clone any block
Select a block on the canvas and Clone makes an independent copy with its own class names, placed right after the original.
- Fonts
Google Fonts, served from your site
A scan lists every font family still loaded from Google. Host it locally in one click, and the builder offers to swap the Google @import in your Etch stylesheets for the local copy.
- Font Manager
A Font Manager inside Etch
Install any Google font with just the weights and character sets you need, or upload your own. Set font-display, preload and a matched fallback per family, and pick the site's heading and body fonts.

Connect in one click
Click Connect, approve the site on etchwpkits.com, and you are back, connected. No token to copy, and the token never passes through the browser.
- Contact form
A contact form, built in
Place it on any page with a shortcode. Messages are emailed to you and saved in WordPress, with spam protection and no CAPTCHA. No form plugin needed.
- Updates
Signed automatic updates

Good to know.
Does it work without Etch?
The panel lives inside the Etch builder, so you need Etch to browse and insert components. The built-in contact form is a shortcode, so it works on any page, in any builder or the block editor.
What do I need to run it?
WordPress 6.5 or newer, PHP 8.1 or newer, the Etch builder for the panel, and an EtchwpKits account to connect the site to.
Is my site data sent anywhere?
The plugin talks to the EtchwpKits API from your server, not from the browser, and your site token never reaches the browser. Component code is handed to Etch's own paste, never run on your server. Contact form messages are emailed to you and saved in your WordPress.
Does it change my existing pages?
Only when you click Insert or Clone, apply the changes you picked in Review update, or confirm Update in place when a review cannot be built. Each change can be undone with Cmd+Z. Opening Review update changes nothing on its own, and nothing is saved until you save in Etch.
What happens after early access?
The plugin is free during early access. After early access it is part of a 99 USD per year plan. Without an active plan the tools and the pages you shared with clients pause, while your settings, plugin updates, everything already on your site and the contact form keep working.
How do updates work?
The plugin updates itself from etchwpkits.com through the normal WordPress update screen. Every package is verified against the EtchwpKits signing key before it installs, and a Check for updates link on the Plugins screen checks right away.
Bring the library into Etch.
Install once, connect in one click, and insert your first section in a few minutes.
Free during early access. After that, 99 USD per year.
